Essential Oils For Your Nails

Your finger nails (and toenails) are as precious as the other parts of your body. Healthy and better-looking nails reflect overall health and good grooming. Some just love to care and art their nails while others just do not care.

Some of the causes of thinning nails are your everyday household chores — washing dishes, use of detergents, and of different cleaning solutions around the house. Furthermore, unhealthy diet and Vitamin A deficiency can also be the culprit for poor nails.

To prevent the weakening and thinning of your nails, add using essential oils to your beauty. These oils are not just limited to hair, and skin, or for aromatic bath or spa treatments. They also make your nails naturally healthy and beautiful.

Application

Some oils are safe to use directly, or blend with other oils or with carrier oils. Proper application is key to improve nourishment of growing nails under the cuticle.

There are two effective ways to apply:

  • First, drop one to two oils or blends onto each nail cuticles, massage around the cuticles and upward over the entire surface of each nail.
  • Second, soak your nails in a bowl of water for 15 minutes daily. Then use a cotton swab to apply the oil to your cuticles and nails.

You can make your own oil blends. Just make sure your skin can handle them. Test before applying.
