Laughter, Is it Really Good for the Heart?

It’s no doubt that daily stress and struggles can greatly affect your physical condition especially your heart. They increase the risk of having heart problems if you don’t know how to manage them.

Major hormones – dopamine, endorphin, norepinephrine and other hormones – are stimulated and released from the nerve cells to give you the feeling of happiness. As you laugh, your cardiac tissue becomes excited.

The excitement will make your endothelium (inner lining of your blood vessels) expands, which then improves the blood flow, regulates coagulation and blood thickening.

This blood vessel expansion prevents arterial inflammation causing heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular-related diseases.
